RSS: Marketing Fascism as Hindu Nationalism
Indian democratic-secular polity is passing through the most critical phase since its birth on August 15, 1947. It has been lately taken over by the RSS/BJP leaders committed to the Hindutva politics. This politics of Hindu separatism was neither part of modern India’s anti-colonial heritage nor has been faithful to the principles enshrined in the Preamble of the Constitution of India. The protagonists of Hindutva politics decried and continue to decry democracy, secularism, egalitarianism and an all-inclusive India. This book provides an insight into the philosophical moorings of the followers of Hindutva and their action plans to convert India into a theocratic Hindu State. This Hindutva project led by RSS is in full steam with the BJP victory in the last parliamentary elections held in 2014. It is no more a hidden agenda as the incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi identifies himself as Hindu nationalist. This study is based solely on the internal documents of the RSS/BJP and other fraternal Hindutva organizations. It is hoped that this RSS Reader will help researchers and common readers in getting acquainted with an ideology and its perpetrators who present the most lethal challenge to democratic-secular India. Shamsul Islam taught political science at the University of Delhi (1973-2013). गोधरा रेलवे स्टेशन की दुर्घटना के बाद गुजरात के अनेक इलाक़ों में भड़कने वाले भीषण दंगे गुजरात तथा भारत के चेहरे पर कलंक हैं । इन भीषण दंगों का कारण पुलिस द्वारा क़ानून-व्यवस्था का पालन न करना था । इस पुस्तक में लेखक ने घटनास्थल पर उपस्थित एक उच्च पुलिस अधिकारी की हैसियत से दंगों और बाद में उन्हें छिपाने तथा अपराधियों को बचाने की सुसंगठित सरकारी कोशिशों का पर्दाफ़ाश किया है । दंगों के दौरान उनकी रिपोर्टें और बाद में दंगों की जाँच करने वाले जाँच आयोग के सामने उनके बयान राजनेताओं, पुलिस तथा नौकरशाहों की घिनौनी भूमिका का पर्दाफ़ाश करते हैं । उच्चतम न्यायालय द्वारा गठित विशेष जाँच दल (एस.आई.टी.) के कार्य को उन्होंने निकट से देखा और इस निष्कर्ष तक पहुँचे कि एस.आई.टी. ने अपराधियों को उनके कुकृत्यों का दण्ड दिलाने के बजाय उनको बचाने वाले वकील के तौर पर काम किया । गुजरात के दंगे और बाद की परिस्थितियों के चश्मदीद गवाह ने यह पुस्तक अपनी अन्तरात्मा के बोझ को हल्का करने के लिए लिखी है । The anti-Sikh riots in 1984 and violence in Gujarat, after killing of 59 Ram Bhaktas in Godhra Railway Station, in 2002, and subsequent subversion of Criminal Justice System in Gujarat State, had inflicted infamy on the image of Indian State and its commitment to the Rule of Law. Unlike terrorist attacks and explosions, no communal riots can prolong unless the authorities avoid implementation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), to control and contain mass violence and normalize public order. High Voltage mass violence was reported from 11 of 30 police administrative units of Gujarat. Significantly, volume of crime was directly proportionate to the commitment of law enforcers in police and Executive Magistracy, to implement SOP, ignoring extra-legal pressures from unauthorized quarters. The book uncovers the author s experience as a senior police officer and citizen about background, course and aftermath of 2002 communal holocaust. The author provides substantial sound evidence on planners and perpetrators of violence. Basing on his situation assessment reports, the Central Election Commission, in August 2002, had refused to accept the State Assembly Election Schedule proposed by the State Government, after premature dissolution of the Assembly. Instances of complacency of the Judicial Commission by not probing deeply into inputs on the omissions and commissions of government officials and political bureaucracy are delineated. The Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted by the Supreme Court, had practically transformed into a team of defence lawyers of the planners, organizers and enablers of violence, by booking only foot soldiers of communal crimes, the author lamented. He throws light on the soul-less secularism of the Indian National Congress, betraying opportunistic communalism, by appeasement of minority and majority communalism simultaneously. How the government failed to practice Raj Dharma , both as per the ideals of Indian heritage and provisions of the Constitution of India is explained. The imperativeness of providing statutory frame-work to the concepts of command responsibility and accountability of supervisory cadre in the government, is projected as the vital lesson to be learnt for forestalling repetition of mass crimes in future.
गोलवलकर की ‘हम या हमारी राष्ट्रीयता की परिभाषा’ —एक आलोचनात्मक समीक्षा
यह पुस्तक आरएसएस के प्रकाशनों और दस्तावेज़ों की रोशनी में गोलवलकर के जीवन और विचारों के बारे में वास्तविक सच्चाइयों को सामने लाने का एक प्रयास है। इस पुस्तक में गोलवलकर की 1939 में लिखी “वी ऑर अवर नेशनहुड डिफ़ाइंड” पुस्तक भी है जिसका हिंदी अनुवाद यहाँ प्रस्तुत है। यह पुस्तक 1947 के बाद उपलब्ध नहीं रही है।
We are witnessing a concerted attempt by the RSS to establish MS Golwalkar as the ‘prophet of a resurgent India,’ ‘a saint,’ ‘the best son of Bharat mata,’ and the ‘biggest gift to Hindu society in the 20th Century,’… This inspite of the fact that Golwalkar, throughout his life, remained committed to the concept of Hindutva which meant an inherent faith in Casteism, Racism and Imperialism. He stood for the establishment of a Hindu rashtra, or nation, where minorities like Muslims and Christians could exist only as second class citizens. This book attempts to put across actual facts about Golwalkar’s life and beliefs in the light of his original writings, publications of the RSS, documents available in its archives and many other RSS documents the writer collected over the last 35 years from different parts of the country, especially the original text of his book We or Our Nationhood Defined (1939) which is being fully reproduced in this book. It is the most important text in order to understand the RSS’ concept of Hindu state, and has not been available to the public after 1947.
ब्राह्मणवादियों के धमाके, मुसलमानों को फाँसी Brahmanvaadion ke dhamake, Musalmanon ko phaansi (Hindi)
ब्लास्ट कर के मुसलमानों पर दोष डालने का ब्राह्मणवादी खेल—-अत्यंत लोकप्रिय पुस्तक ‘करकरे के हत्यारे कौन?’ और ‘26/11 की जांच—न्यायपालिका भी क्यों नाकाम रही?’ के लेखक, पूर्व शीर्ष पुलिस अधिकारी एसएम मुशरिफ़ की यह एक और किताब है। इस किताब का विषय है देश भर में होनेवाले बम धमाकों के पीछे ब्राह्मणवादी छल-प्रपंच और बेगुनाह मुसलमानों पर दोष मढ़ना। अदालतों में दायर कई आरोपपत्रों और उनके द्वारा दिए गए कुछ महत्वपूर्ण निर्णयों की शब्द-दर-शब्द जांच के बाद, और प्रासंगिक अवधियों की प्रेस कतरनों के एक विशाल संग्रह को देखने के बाद, लेखक इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुंचे हैं कि 2002 के बाद से अधिकांश बम विस्फोटों में आरएसएस, अभिनव भारत, बजरंग दल, जय वंदे मातरम, सनातन संस्था आदि जैसे ब्राह्मणवादी संगठनों का हाथ था। लेकिन आईबी, एनआईए और राज्यों में आतंकवाद निरोधक दस्तों ने, ब्राह्मणवादी तत्वों के सक्रिय समर्थन और मीडिया द्वारा ब्राह्मणवादियों की ओर इशारा करनेवाले महत्वपूर्ण सुराग़ों को जान-बूझकर दबाने के लिए बेगुनाह मुसलमानों पर आरोप लगाया। यहां तक कि कुछ अदालतें भीं प्रभावित हुईं। कुछ अदालतें मीडिया के प्रचार से प्रभावित थीं तो कुछ अभियोजन पक्ष द्वारा गुमराह। लेखक ने सुझाव दिया है कि यदि ऐसे सभी मामलों का पुनरावलोकन कुछ वरिष्ठ न्यायिक अधिकारियों द्वारा किया जाए और उनमें से संदिग्ध लोगों की एक स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष एजेंसी द्वारा पुन: जांच की जाए, तो यह पता चलेगा कि इन सभी घटनाओं में ब्राह्मणवादी संलिप्त हैं, उन घटनाओं में भी, जिनमें मुसलमानों को दोषी ठहराया जा चुका है और सज़ा सुनाई जा चुकी है।
