Palestine Essays

The Milli Gazette organised an essay competition in 2015 to spread awareness about the Palestinian tragedy which continues to fester in the Middle East as a result of the Israeli occupation and refusal to concede to the Palestinian rights supported by hundreds of UN resolutions, umpteen stands taken by governments around the world and international forums.
A committee of experts examined the essays submitted and declared winners. The topics for the essays were.
i. Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine are a threat to world peace; ii. Palestine National Authority and Oslo Agreements – an assessment; iii. Modern Palestinian resistance to colonisation and judisation – a brief history (1918-2015);
iv. Blockade of Gaza Strip – a crime against humanity.
